Terms of service
Draft: reviewed by a lawyer before launch. Marked parts are still to be filled in by CompanyOS's founder and a lawyer.
Takes effect on 10 October 2026.
These terms are the agreement for using CompanyOS. They're also its end-user licence agreement. Our privacy policy says what happens to your data.
Who this agreement is between
These terms are between Dillingham Capital (“we”) and the business that signs up for CompanyOS (“your company”). The person who creates your company's account accepts them for your company and confirms they may do so. Everyone your company invites uses CompanyOS under these terms.

How the terms are accepted (a click-through at sign-up isn't built yet), and whether a signed order form takes precedence.
What CompanyOS is
CompanyOS is an online service in which a company's people and AI assistants run work together. It reads the systems your company connects, works out numbers from your records, prepares lists, drafts and briefings, and asks a named person in your company to decide. AI assistants are settings of the service. They have no authority of their own: anything that leaves your company, such as an invoice or a reminder, goes only after a named person approves it.
CompanyOS includes a sample company with fictional data. It's always labelled as a sample.
Your company's account
- Your company's owner decides who is invited, what role each person has and which areas of the company they see.
- Each person signs in with a one-time code sent to their email address. Keep access to that email address to yourself.
- Tell us at once if you think someone has used your company's account without permission.
Your data
- We handle your company's data as the privacy policy describes, and we don't use it to train AI models.
For the founder and a lawyer
Proposed, for a lawyer to decide (each is a legal choice, not a fact of the software): “Your company owns its data, including what CompanyOS reads from the systems you connect and what you add to it.” “Your company lets us handle that data only to provide CompanyOS.” “Your company makes sure it may give us the data it connects or uploads, including data about its customers and employees.”
QuickBooks and other connected systems
- Your company's use of QuickBooks Online is governed by its own agreement with Intuit. Intuit isn't a party to these terms.
- By connecting QuickBooks, your company lets CompanyOS read its books. CompanyOS sends invoices through QuickBooks only after your owner turns sending on and a named person approves the exact list.
- Only the owner and admins who can see Finance can connect QuickBooks. Any of them can disconnect it at any time in Setup, Connect QuickBooks, which also deletes what CompanyOS read from it.
For the founder and a lawyer
Any wording Intuit's developer terms require in an app's end-user licence agreement.
Numbers, AI and your decisions
- Numbers in CompanyOS are worked out by code from your records, not by AI. When a number can't be worked out, CompanyOS says so rather than guessing.
- AI drafts, summaries and suggestions are labelled as AI and can be wrong. Check them before you act. The person who approves an action decides it.
- CompanyOS doesn't give legal, tax or accounting advice.
For the founder and a lawyer
Proposed, for a lawyer to decide: “Your company is responsible for what it approves.”
Using CompanyOS properly
- Don't try to reach another company's data, get around sign-in or access rules, or test our security without our written agreement.
- Don't upload anything you have no right to share, or anything unlawful.
- Don't overload CompanyOS or use it to send messages people haven't agreed to receive.
Changes to CompanyOS
CompanyOS is being built actively. Features may be added, changed or removed.
For the founder and a lawyer
Notice before a feature a company uses is removed; availability and support commitments, if any.
Fees
For the founder and a lawyer
Prices, billing, taxes and trial terms (design partners use CompanyOS free while it's built: say so, and when that ends).
Ending this agreement
- Your company can stop using CompanyOS at any time: disconnect its systems, and its owner can have the company deleted as the privacy policy describes.
- When your company is deleted, its data is deleted on the schedule in the privacy policy.
